I grew up in a household of artists. Father was a furniture builder/carpenter/perfectionist. Mother was a graphic designer/sketcher and all 5 siblings turned out to be extremely artistically talented. Me, I slanted way towards music. I could never seem to draw my way out a maze. In sixth grade I took a course in photography and knew I wanted to be involved with it in some way, the rest of my life. I have never really put my finger on what it is I want to do for the rest of my life. I never decided what I wanted out of higher education. So I never went.
I have been moving back and forth from Florida to New England since I was 18. I am living here now with my soon to be wife, Tracy. Where we will most likely stay for a while.
Black and white is my medium. I am fascinated with infrared light and the images it produces. I try my hardest to stay away from digital. Digital was invented to keep it easy. To me, it was invented for instant results. I still enjoy to darkroom process. Trial and error can be frustrating, but it is better to practice your skills instead to having lucky shots and making them better or perfect with manipulation.
My hopes for my work, is not to strike it rich, or become a household name. It is to have a reason to practice my art.
